Political Science as a degree has a broad scope. Education is a tool by which is used for nation building. Formal education involves a facilitator DECLARATION where this occors in the course description and it also requires an facilitator AGENDA wherein this occors in the syllibus and curriculum. These are important because it upholds values of CONSENT. In the discipline of Political Science a "PROGRAM" can be used for the aforesaid purpose oftentimes these are referred to as "POLITICAL PROGRAMS" or to a lesser extent "BUSINESS PROGRAMS" and these should be available at the discretion of the Political Scientist. In this, students are required to have knowledge on the many faucets of society. This broad scope is taught in the undergrad. The teaching that occurs in polytechnic universities allows the student the benefit of modular learning and experiential learning or applied learning. This means that the student is able to develop and compound their knowledge base per both methods. This results in a higher probability of being able to adapt technical knowledge to practical applications via critical thinking and in this students, if they do choose can create a paper trail about the discipline resulting in an increase in efficiency because both are being used. The developing competency of the Political Science student can be harbored via individual works. The fact that in polytechnic universities both teaching methods are used affords the student a higher ability to use the faculties of his or her mind to come up with visionary solutions within any field of study. This is why polytechnic university is superior to the inferior traditional methods of conventional education involving pedagogy and the authority model where an instructor and a class room are necessary with varried differentiation of instructor and student centered approaches.
Regardless whether a graduate of a polytechnic university or a traditional post-secondary institution, students of Political Science have a high ability to translate concepts learned into subject matter acumen if they decide to pursue studies within a subject matter and etc. to build competence, because Political Science in itself demands that the student understand multiple parts of the domestic environment to grasp the content of "politics" hence the student of Political Science regardless of who, are taught the baselines of many parts of the political body and its organs so that they are able to make subject matter decisions from competency.
Therefore, students of Political Science are taught with an approved knowledge base by which the discipline program is mandated by the Ministry of Education under its provisions for the administering of post-secondary programs by which the faculty taught and in that they are hence forth thus better able to traditionally socially mobilize various subject matters because of the nature of the discipline and the METHADOLOGY and of the teaching techniques that had occurred. A program of study gets approved because there is a demand in society (Private Nursing Colleges) and also because it would help improve the standard of living for the citizens (STEM programs) and because the country needs to remain competitive in the global market (Finance programs and Political programs). This means, that it is in the best interest of the Ministry of Education to use education theory in order to make agile students that can create mailability within a subject matter via their prescribed educational programs. This is required in such disciplines as Political Science, Law, Business etc. However, as it pertains to Political Science, the competent Political Scientist is required to comprehend the body of politics and its organs and facets so that the subject matters that involve analysis and evaluation within the rhetoric of political content which involves the understanding of multiple disciplines can be explored and solutions can be conjured.
In the document the CMA Code of ethics and professionalism, it says Physicians practice the following:
“Commitment to professional integrity and competence Practice medicine competently… Develop and advance your professional knowledge, skills, and competencies through lifelong learning.
13. Recognize the need to balance the developing competency of minors” (2023).
In their Code of Ethics found on Engineers Canada 2023 they state that:
“2. Offer services, advise on or undertake engineering assignments only in areas of their competence and practice in a careful and diligent manner and in compliance with applicable legislation.
4. Keep themselves informed in order to maintain their competence and strive to advance the body of knowledge within which they practice.”
In Chapter two of the Canadian Bar Associations Code of Professional Conduct, a best practice rule of law organization, it says the foregoing about “competence:
“1. Competence in the context of the first branch of this Rule goes beyond formal qualification to practice law. It has to do with the sufficiency of the lawyer’s qualifications to deal with the matter in question. It includes knowledge, skill, and the ability to use them effectively in the interests of the client.
3. The lawyer should not undertake a matter without honestly feeling either competent to handle it, or able to become competent without undue delay, risk or expense to the client.
4. Competence involves more than an understanding of legal principles; it involves an adequate knowledge of the practice
and procedures by which those principles can be effectively applied. To accomplish this, the lawyer should keep abreast of
developments in all areas in which the lawyer practices. The lawyer should also develop and maintain a facility with
advances in technology in areas in which the lawyer practices to maintain a level of competence that meets the standard
reasonably expected of lawyers in similar practice circumstances” (2023).
The US office of Personnel Management says the following about business acumen:
“Definition: This core qualification involves the ability to manage human, financial, and information resources strategically.
Financial Management
Understands the organization's financial processes. Prepares, justifies, and administers the program budget. Oversees procurement and contracting to achieve desired results. Monitors expenditures and uses cost-benefit thinking to set priorities.
Human Capital Management
Builds and manages workforce based on organizational goals, budget considerations, and staffing needs. Ensures that employees are appropriately recruited, selected, appraised, and rewarded; takes action to address performance problems. Manages a multi-sector workforce and a variety of work situations.
Technology Management
Keeps up-to-date on technological developments. Makes effective use of technology to achieve results. Ensures access to and security of technology systems” (2023).
Competence can be defined as a baseline of knowledge within a discipline that has been widely accepted and practiced within that industry. This involves not only practicing but the bearing of prior education with regards to the discipline. A competency then is an extension from competence and in that it serves to identify a specific process within the competency. Both can be expressed in a FACT SHEET as these are widely accepted in a discipline. A specialization then is an extension of the discipline under competence for the objectives of increased efficiency of study and research for increased yield. A standard can be defined as best practice behaviors that a reasonable person practicing the profession would conduct in an average or ordinary setting. The deliberation of competence occurs through examinations. With regards to the practical world and polytechnic university learning, when the student applies knowledge he or she is conducting a test or examination of the conjured ideas and concepts wherein previous analysis and evaluation took place to synthesize the ideas into concepts. This results in mastery especially when done purposely. Hence, fulfilling the examination requirement and this could be expressed as an ATTESTATION which means a validation of a fact. Political Science practices both competence and acumen because of the nature of the discipline. Political Science demands general competence and when the Political Scientist decides to study another discipline or subject matter, he or she is studying a specialty core specific competence. And beyond both, the discipline itself then is geared towards creating subject matter acumen as the Political Scientist must observe the domestic environment (general competence) with concern of the discipline as it pertains to the subject matter that he or she may be studying (specialty core specific competence) so that a decision can be rendered via acumen. In the intelligence industry, the personnel of the government being tasked with a specific duty, are trained specialty core specific competence to do the task of their reassigned job while they are briefed on general competence before being stationed. Usually this occurs with individuals that have been victims or are fleeing. This occurred when the government of the USA decided to take in the Jews. The government of the USA had to retrain these people to be able to complete tasks for the initiatives of its government. Some people were brushed on Physics, Biology and Chemistry so that the government can avail of national security interests. This gave that government an upper hand in the conflict with a divided Germany under honorable Adolf Hitler, the Commander and Chief of Germany. As for the Philippines, they took in the Jews although they were a country that emerged from the King Philipp regime of Austria. The Filipino government under the Quezon regime the honorable Manuel Quezon accepted the Jews and provided them with resettlement. Canada on the other hand decided to support countries that had land such as the Netherlands essentially neglecting the Jews who didn’t have land at that time. While great Spain avoided it all together. Once again, as it pertains to competence, in Alberta, within the College of Physicians and Surgeons, they have competence committees and programs by which members of the college are assessed. While, in the then College of LPN’s now under the College of RN’s these competency assessments occurred randomly and not like what is administered by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta.
Academics emerged from the Middle East - Mesopotamia and in places like Persia. In the Middle East, schools of antiquity were created wherein people would share knowledge with other Scholars. These schools of antiquity created vast bodies of knowledge and many of this is not widely known even in academia as governments consistently use propaganda to shroud the Middle East origin in favor of other agendas. These teachings evidently reached Greece. Where then, Greece formulized the creation of the academic discipline. A discipline can be defined as collective learning, studying and researching under a university (Rebus 2023). The creation of the disciplines within academia are widely debated upon. However, the earliest known recording of a discipline occurred during Socrates' time (Rebus 2023). Further, the development of Shamans into Practitioners caused conflicts with Greece and these emerged from in the 1800’s where there was only one profession at that time, that profession is Prostitution. This is where the good graces of Spain took charge as Latin became the dominant language used and not the alternatives. Hence, we have the emergence of academia from the Middle East- Persia making its way to Greece than to Spain. At which point Spain had global reach and this caused Spain and her daughters to be great. As it pertains to the discipline of Political Science it is like the discipline of Law when practicing with regards to the domestic environment. In the discipline of Law, citizens are expected to live in the shadow of the government (Zariski, A. 2014). This occurred because of birth right constitutional privileges. Just as citizens are expected to operate with the framework of government legislations, they too are liveing under the shadow of Political Science. This is the similarity in the discipline of Political Science and Law. Regardless, the business man does not know about the technicalities of the product but the inventor does. And in that, the Political Scientist does not know the technicalities of the subject matter but the subject matters brightest pupils do. Hence the Political Scientist serves as honest brokers in ANY SUBJECT MATTER because of the above mentioned herein. They also posses the ability to become subject matter experts through the above method and further, Political Scientists can reduce the expenses for the need of expert witnesses through unbundling and through the process described herein. The risk here however, is Chinese and Russian like developments. These countries have shared intel and they have created products that do not comply with standards set forth in legislations such as the Canadian Consumer Protection Act. This means that virtues and values must be used to properly implement this theory into action. For example: Medical competency is very complicated and it involves critical thinking and background knowledge to decipher medical phenomena and Medical Journals. A virtue of "determination" backed with a value of "accountability" expressed in an ACKNOWLEDGEMENT would ensure that the Political Scientist studying the competence or competencies of the discipline of Medicine would ensure that the Political Scientist heeds caution when creating works about that discipline. Hence in Law it becomes a matter of caveat actor- let the doer beware hence it becomes increasingly important to have a Mentor within the discipline that is practicing it to verify that what is being done is per the standard of that discipline which then the Mentor serves as a cheque and balance.
